A long time ago, Mr. Henry Ford came to Cape May and raced his automobile on the beach. The other racers were Louis Chevrolet and Walter Christie. During the race, Mr. Ford‛s car was closest to the ocean and waves came in and washed over his car. Mr. Christie was the winner of the race that day, but Mr. Ford went home to Michigan, opened his factory and began making automobiles on an assembly line.
