Are you interested in culture and history? Are you a people person? If so, we may have the perfect volunteer position for you at MAC!
MAC volunteers donate scores of hours each year in a variety of ways, and their time spent with us brings them enjoyment, friendship, and the satisfaction that they are contributing to and making a difference in their community. All year-round, MAC offers a variety of exciting, entertaining, and educational activities where volunteer opportunities abound.
Volunteers are often needed in the Tour Division as guides, exhibit aides, ticket takers, and information givers; the Curatorial Division to help with collections management, props, costuming, and special projects; the Office Division, for data entry, collating or assembling press packets and mailings; the Education Division as tour assistants or in-school program assistants; and the Special Events Division as ticket sellers and takers, information givers, or ushers at a variety of MAC events and activities.
MAC recognizes the invaluable contributions that volunteers make to our programs and events and offers the following benefits to all volunteers:
In addition, Gold and Silver Award Volunteers (those with 20 or more days of service per year) receive free admission to a variety of MAC tours and events on a space available basis.
